Dr. Li Jin

Psychiatrist & Founder

Dr. Jin is a double board-certified addiction psychiatrist with over ten years of experience treating psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders. She completed her psychiatry residency at Baylor College of Medicine and her addiction psychiatry fellowship at UT Southwestern. She has also held academic positions at all three medical schools in Houston, TX.

Recognizing the potential of telepsychiatry early on, Dr. Jin integrated virtual care into her practice well before it became standard. In addition to her professional accomplishments, she is a wife, mother, and two-time cancer survivor. Through Modern Psychiatry Center, Dr. Jin is dedicated to making high-quality psychiatric and addiction care accessible to patients across Texas.


Gabriela Mimbela

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Gabriela Mimbela is a doctorate-level, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience treating complex mental health disorders across the lifespan. She earned both her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at The University of Texas at El Paso, where she currently serves as an adjunct professor. Dr. Mimbela has further training in the treatment of children and older adults, as well as in substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. Her approach emphasizes evidence-based care that helps patients achieve long-term stability. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing with a good movie.


Sheila Bouler

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Sheila Bouler is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over fifteen years of experience in mental health care, including more than a decade specializing in ADHD treatment for adolescents and adults. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Columbia University and completed additional training at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Sheila takes a practical approach that combines medication management with strategies to support functional improvement, helping patients achieve meaningful progress in daily life. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
